It's our own actions we reap!

Sometimes, we are put to sorrow or joy, by others’ actions. Thus, though apparently it seems that others are the cause of our lot, actually it is not so. We reap the fruits of our own actions. Every birth we take is to enjoy the fruit of certain portion of our accumulated previous deeds (karma) known as Praarabda. Hence, we should not consider those who cause suffering to us as tormenters.

ఒరులెవరు కారు సరి కారణము ఈ ధరణిఁ నరుల హృది
హరియింప మోదమెద రగిలింప ఖేదారణిన్. పురజన్మ
కరణములె పరావర్త కిరణములై ప్రారబ్దశరములవగా పరమైన ఈ
వివరమెఱుగు స్థిరవరులెవరు పరులనిల అరులవలె తలపోతురే !

Meaning:
In this world, others are not the real cause for one’s happiness or sorrow. It is one’s own deeds of the previous birth that bounce back to him like reflected rays and become the arrows of “praarabda”. The wise who realize this noble truth would never look upon anyone as enemy.
